Little Things Mean A Lot!

Simple arrangements from the garden make big statements. So easy to place a few flowers in a nice container and put in important places: bathroom, living room, entrance, a little dark corner on a shelf. I call them “gifts from the garden.”

My Daughter’s Great Fourth Idea

Here is a great idea for a “pot luck” gathering during the fourth weekend.

I like Hydrangeas because they are so easy to arrange and colorful. Cut the large blossoms and simply place in a container. Always looks so good and can be arranged in minutes. I have used a square container to give a sleak architectural look.

Denim Is The Fashion Word

From the runways to the home, Denim is the hot fashion word. I especially like the look of our Sunbrella Sax which looks like denim but wears like iron. No Worries.

Final Selection of Fabrics For Spring 2014

Yes, it is that time of year when we have to edit our Sunbrella “trials” down to “final picks” and what a task it was to discard the patterns that we loved but did not come in under the allotted amount. I believe we were successful in bringing new colors and some fanciful paterns that will be easy to decorate  with in any environment: inside or outside. Mission accomplished!

Lunch For Designers To Present New Sunbrella Collection

The interior designers came to see my new fabrics for Sunbrella. Lunch at the Peninsula Hotel is always a treat and it was great to see designers embrance the new colors & patterns. Some of the firms present were: Jessica Brende Home, Diane Romick, Michelle Trout, Gary Zsombor, Anna Hoffman. This a great way to pause from work, have a nice lunch and show & tell.

Fabric Selections in the Garden

Nothing is more enjoyable than making the final selections for our Sunbrella Fabric Collections and this year the weather was perfect for such a task: hazy skys that gave us a good look at colors and textures. We traditionaly spread the fabrics out on tables and then begin the edit process. Look for color and pattern for Showtime December 2013 and then introductions at Furniture Market Spring 2014.IMG_3415 3IMG_3414
