The La Cienega Design Quarter

It seems each year the events in the Design Quarter seem to be getting better. Wonder lectures and lots of new product to see; not to mention meeting friends from New York and round the country and editors you have not seen for awhile. I especially like the array of wonderful food.

The Pacific Design Center

This building designed by Cesar Pelli is one of the most dramatic buildings in the Los Angeles Area. Called “the blue whale” by many, it stands as a beacon to fine design. I love to visit the building as often as I can. My offices were here for five years and it was here that I created “Idea House” every year for consumers and designers to see the latest in Home Fashions. What a wonderful place to visit to be inspired by design.

Visit To Carter Truesdale Showroom

Love the courtyard at the Carter/Truesdale Showroom at 8748 Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood. The lattice work & benches wereIMG_3579 created by Accents of France accentsoffrance.com These little “vest Pocket” garden/courtyardsIMG_3576IMG_3577 in West Hollywood remind me of Palm Beach, Florida. All the lattice designs are based on Classic French designs of the 15th and 16th centuries. Charming.
