The fabric selection process takes about 6 months. I am so pleased to have Greg Voorhis and Emily Cosgrove from Sunbrella help me in this task. During the development process, I comb the world for inspiration; I pay close attention to the fashion runways, check out the latest in colors and set designs of Opera and Theater. I am also looking at how people live today as I travel the United States and Canada. I also draw on the notes and sketches I have made during my world travels.
The edit basis is the most difficult because we must look at hundreds of tests and patterns to determine what stays and what goes. The final product is introduced at Showtime (Fabric Market) and Furniture Market ( where the fabric is shown on Upholstery for retail buyers to purchase.) All in all it is a wonderful process thanks to my team of experts.
